Splinters Baseball Throwing Programs

We cultivate the relationship of all parties involved. Through the classes the curriculum (drills and reasoning) is explained to the player. We also brief the parents on each session’s growth. The arm is the most vital tool a baseball player has and enhancing that arm is the main idea behind Splinters Baseball’s throwing programs. Our throwing curriculum is based on building a strong foundation on which a player can increase athleticism, endurance and strength regardless of what position they play. With this in mind we spend the initial parts of each throwing program focused on fundamentals throwing. Derived from Alan Jaegers, “Thrive on Throwing” the 4 main points of our throwing program are:

  1. Stretching
  2. Resistance bands
  3. Mechanics
  4. Strategic long toss

Arm Strengthening

Arm Strength Workshop- Done on a regular basis with local leagues or teams. This program is designed to bring awareness to a dynamic stretching and strategic throwing program that will help players avoid injury and throw harder. Cost $45

Six Week Arm Strengthening Class- Results of this class are simply amazing. Over this 18 session program will increase players arm strength. Derived from Alan Jaegar’s Thrive on Throwing Program (jaegarsports.com) players are instructed on 4 main keys to a healthy arm. Cost $195

Pitching Programs

Fit to Pitch- Designed to help players develop the stamina, endurance and mindset to handle the rigors of pitching effectively. This program meets at a minimum of twice each week. Program held in off season months.

  • 12 Session - $350

Bull Pen Club- This program is our pitching class. Curriculum is based on using athletes’ natural throwing motion to create the most effective, efficient throwing motion for their particular body type. We value the fact that each pitcher has a unique muscular make up and therefore allow them to be unique in their throwing motion. Players are shown ways to improve their mental approach on the mound as well.

Pitchers Boot Camp- Part of Splinters “Focused Series.” This program is an 11 session throwing mechanics intensive that covers strength building, stretching routine and strategic long toss. Cost $225
